1 Peter 1:6-9

1 Peter 1:6-9
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  These have come so that your faith–of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire–may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
“Pressure produces! As we face the pressures of life, let it not just be a passive acceptance, but rather a positive cooperation with God’s purpose for our lives.” ~ George Sweeting

Psalm 27:13-14

Psalm 27:13-14
I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

“As we wait on God, our weakness is exchanged for His strength. Strength and courage are developed during a trial, not after it is over!” ~ Chuck Swindoll

Colossians 2:6-10

 Colossians 2:6-10

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on ChristFor in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.

“Good morning, God, I love you! What are You up to today? I want to be part of it.” ~ Norman Grubb

Isaiah 43:1

Isaiah 43:1
But now, this is what the LORD says–he who created you…he who formed you…: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”

“We are God’s very own, being redeemed by Him. Every Christian therefore should wear a sign in his heart, ‘Not for sale.’” ~ Unknown

James 1:5-7

James 1:5-7
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

“Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.” ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Job 23:8-10

Job 23:8-10
“But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him. When he is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him. But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
“God’s omnipresence and the manifestation of his presence are two different things. One is a fact; the other is often a feeling. God is always present, even when you are unaware of him, and his presence is too profound to be mearsured by mere emotion. Yes, he wants you to sense his presence, but he’s more concerned that you trust him than that you feel him. Faith, not feelings, pleases God.” ~ Rick Warren

Psalm 89:5-8

Psalm 89:5-8
The heavens praise your wonders, O LORD, your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones. For who in the skies above can compare with the LORD? Who is like the LORD among the heavenly beings? In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him. O LORD God Almighty, who is like you? You are mighty, O LORD, and your faithfulness surrounds you.
“What I believe about God is the most important thing about me.” ~ A.W. Tozer

Jeremiah 33:2-3

Jeremiah 33:2-3
“This is what the LORD says, he who made the earth, the LORD who formed it and established it–the LORD is his name: `Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’
“Does not the opportunity extended to us unworthy sinners fill us with a sense of privilege as we approach the throne of grace?” ~ Ivan French

Ephesians 2:19-22

Ephesians 2:19-22
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household,  built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
“You are called to belong, not just believe…We are created for community, fashioned for fellowship, and formed for a family, and none of us can fulfill God’s purposes by ourselves.” ~ Rick Warren

Psalm 143:8

Psalm 143:8
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

“Strength comes from choosing to fully trust, pray, and praise. Our circumstances may not change, but in the process we change.” ~ Chuck Swindoll
